(John) Patrick Gines is an award-winning: actor, director, and swimmer.

His passion for film all began with a video project in eighth grade
science class. It seemed filmmaking combined many of Patrick’s passions:
acting, writing, imagining, having adventures… even the business aspect
of filmmaking interested him.

His freshman year of high school, Patrick started a production company
with his best friend, Brett. They called the company Purpose Productions.
Brett still owns and operates Purpose in South Dakota.

Patrick attended North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) twice – once
for filmmaking in high school, and another time after his freshman year
of college to pursue a formal education in acting. Patrick won “Best Actor”
for his role in the one-act play “Song” at the West Virginia International
Thespian Society State Festival in 2006.

He is also an all-conference, all-region swimmer, and a member of the 2006 Fairmont Senior High School state champion swim team. His event is the one hundred yard butterfly.

Patrick has a heart for people with special needs. He has one sister, Kelly,
who is four years younger and has special needs. While studying film at
The Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts his documentary
short, “Special Olympics Florida: A Community of Giving,” won the top
award at the Templeton Foundation’s “Filmanthropy” Film Festival.

Patrick is a graduate of Idyllwild Arts Academy's Moving Pictures Department, and The Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts. He is the creative director at Four Oaks Comunity Church in Tallahassee, FL where he continues to act, direct, and he gets in the pool every once in a while.
